Ying Zhong

PhD Student

I am interested in fiction and popular culture.I am trying to analyze the historical changes of Chinese fiction from the perspective of evolutionary psychology and cultural evolution. To explain, why some fictions have survived and are even popular today, such as Journey to the West. And why have some fiction gradually disappeared in the history? How and why some fiction has been adapted through history?

Zhong Ying graduated from Xiamen University with a bachelor's degree in advertising and a minor in economics. Later, she completed her master's degree at Shandong University in communication studies .She is now a P.hD student at the ENS in Paris and is sponsored by Chinese scholarship council.
