I am interested in human evolution in its biological and cultural dimensions. In particular, I am trying to understand the origin of our interest in fiction, being myself a heavy consumer of popular culture.
I am a researcher who combines natural sciences, social sciences and statistics. I did a PhD thesis at the Muséum d'histoire naturelle de Paris, where I built a new methodology to infer the genetic and linguistic history of human populations from data collected on individuals alive today. I am now a post-doctoral fellow at the ENS where I collaborate with many researchers to develop statistical analysis methods and address various problems. My goal is to understand current human psychology and cultures from our knowledge of the evolutionary history of our species.
